The Capitals “Back”-pain.

Center for the Washington Capitals, Nicklas Backstrom suffered a broken thumb in the game last night against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Backstrom was spotted walking out of a doctors office with a hard cast over his injured hand. This news has not been reported to the press yet but I have an insider who gave me confirmation of this information. In my opinion Backstrom will miss the rest of the regular season but be ready to play during the playoffs. This injury would have been devastating if Capitals GM George McPhee didn’t trade for players like Jason Arnott, Dennis Wideman, and Marco Sturm at the trade deadline. I hope this news is read soon and possibly over some mass media broadcasts before this article becomes old news.
